10th Anniversary Dinner & Awards
On
Saturday, September 17, 2005 Jamdammers, family and friends came together
to celebrate the accomplishments of "the greatest running club in Jamaica,
the Caribbean -- and maybe the world!" At this final event to mark our
10th year as a running club, we took the time to acknowledge and thank members
who have made outstanding and selfless contributions. We were treated to entertainment
and antics that made the evening one to remember -- for the next 10 years!

Jamdammers 10th Anniversary Awards & Acknowledgements Extra Mile Award
The
Extra Mile Award recognizes those among us who have made significant and
unswerving contributions throughout
the years. They have gone beyond the call of duty in pursuit of the club's
mission. They were selected by nominations received from the club membership.
Richard Lake
Chairman of Reggae Marathon and a major and generous facilitator and financier of the inaugural event. In the 5 years he has served as Chairman and during all his years as a Jamdammer, Rich has generously provided the requisite action and resources when called upon.
Alfred 'Frano' Francis
Past President, Race Director of the Reggae Marathon and the Jamdammer Grand Prix series, Chairman of the Road Race committee.Frano's passion of road racing and work through the JAAA contributes to the development of Jamaica's youth and future world-class athletes.
Gina Harrison
Chairperson of the Communications & PR committee and Assistant Race Director of the Reggae Marathon. Gina has worked tirelessly with every Executive since joining the club.
Brenda Wong
Chairperson of the Fundraising Committee and organizer of the annual 'Party Marathon' fund raising event. Funds raised by her team facilitate the staging of the road races and Reggae Marathon.

- Alan Beckford, Past Treasurer and moving force for the initiation of the Jamdammers Grand Prix series.
- Cliff Cameron for contributions, personal and financial, to Reggae Marathon without which the event would not have been started or continued.
- Delrose Campbell, Past President and Chairperson of the Membership Committee, for framing the club constitution and providing legal services to the Reggae Marathon and the club. Del also manages race registration at road races.
- Diane Ellis, Secretariat for Reggae Marathon, for tireless work year-round both in sponsorship and marketing. With tact and diplomacy, Diane skillfully manages the Reggae Marathon team.
- Deborah Garbutt, Assistant Race Director of the Reggae Marathon, for unstinting work in road races and being the 'Mother Teresa' to us all.
- Garth King, Web Master, for outstanding work and world-class presentation of the Reggae Marathon and Jamdammers web sites.
- Anna Kay von Dueszeln for untiring contributions of creative work and graphic design including the design of the Reggae Marathon logo nad mascot "Oran".
- Mark Wong for embodying the spirit of the Jamdammers.
